On January 17th and 18th, TourINN-Act brought together its team of 6 European Organizations in the 2nd in-person transnational project meeting organized by KiNNO (www.kinno.eu) in Athens, Greece to intensively work on the TourINN-Act Open Call for accommodation units and travel intermediaries from Romania, Greece, Italy, Spain and Cyprus. During the Project Meeting, important aspects for the project activities were discussed among the Project Partners and planned for the following period.
Starting with the TourINN-platform, which is on its way for launching, UP PROJECT (www.upproject.es) with the support of the consortium, is developing a useful tool which will support the Open call for SMEs application, the spending of the €10.000 voucher for the tourism SMEs purchasing of innovative services, the Open Innovation Seminar and the TourINN-matchmaking. It will also include the TourINN-Roadmap, the online catalogue of digital and sustainable solutions, a useful guide for the adoption of tourism innovation by SMEs, and e-courses.
In the center of the meeting was the Open Call for Tourism SMEs, getting set-up by JO Consulting (www.joconsulting.eu/en), that will be launched by the project in Spring 2023. At least 60 Tourism SMEs (accommodation & travel intermediaries) from Romania, Greece, Italy, Spain and Cyprus will be selected and receive a voucher of €10.000 to purchase innovative, digital and sustainable solutions from the TourINN-Catalogue of solutions. While the call is open, the tourism SMEs and the selected providers of the Catalogue will have the opportunity to participate in the TourINN-Match to exchange and decide on the best solution for the SME. Furthermore, the Open Innovation Seminar which will accompany the launching of the open call will provide guidelines to the interested SMEs and tips for a successful application. A Q&A session will also be part of the seminar. The TourINN-Act team organized the process and made decisions for major topics about the call.
The meeting closed with the coordinator of the communication activities, EUROSUCCESS CONSULTING (www.eurosc.eu), who will ensure the outreach of the TourINN-Act Open Call and other activities, and the Lead Partner, responsible for the overall management and quality assurance of the project, ICEBERG+ (https://www.iceberg.ro/en/), who will secure the properly implementation of all the project’s tasks.
