Tourinn-act consortium

The consortium is made of 6 between public & private entities belonging to 5 southern EU countries (Romania, Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus) characterized by a lower degree of digital technology integration compared to Northern and Western EU States which score the highest in terms of digital transformation. Digital skills are becoming fundamental in many sectors, including tourism but, especially in southern Europe, whose GDP is highly dependent on tourism, skills shortages and slow diffusion of technologies persist.


Iceberg+ has developed from a consulting firm into an ecosystem of experts providing strategy, consulting, digital & technology services across Central & Eastern Europe. Part of our ecosystem are a network of hubs, acceleration programs, technology transfer centers & startups throughout the region. One of our projects is HIT - Hub for Innovation in Tourism, launched in 2020 in Brasov and is currently accelerating its first batch of tourism startups in response to the COVID-19. By leveraging its experience, extensive network and strategic approach, Iceberg will coordinate the project, leading WP1 and WP7.

Kinno is an innovation consulting firm, with experience in designing and implementing technology transfer & commercialization, market uptake and capacity building activities in EU projects (Interreg III, ADRION, BALKAN-MED, SEE, ENI, ENPI, HORIZON 2020, EUROPAID). It aims at enhancing technology integration and innovation capacity, market uptake of research results in sectors such as energy, clean-tech, tourism, agro-food, ICT, maritime & transportation. It entered the consortium as Business Support Organization and will lead the WP2.

Up project is a SME which focuses on digital tools and innovative solutions. UP PROJECT has developed several projects which became a part of the company know-how and established the ground of a strong and scalable software platform that is now the basis of several projects. The mentioned experience enables UP PROJECT to develop the WP3 as a user-friendly platform for communication, interaction & sharing information between tourism SMEs and stakeholders.

Jo consulting is dedicated to business consulting & fund raising at EU and local level. Its international network is composed of public and private research centers, small‐medium and large companies, public administrations. JOC provides tutoring services for start‐ups and helps the matching between research and enterprises to create research-applied solutions to the SMEs technological innovation. It supplies technical assistance in business planning implementing the employment of research and entrepreneurial initiatives in industrial and commercial sectors. For this reason JOC entered the consortium as a Business Support Organization and will lead WP4 & WP5.

Eurosuccess consulting is a Consulting & Training entity in the field of project management, training & consulting. EUROSC is involved in more than 80 Lifelong Learning, ERASMUS+, JUSTICE EU programs, National funded Programmes and is member of: European Forum of Vocational Education and Training, International Trade Council, Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation and Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry. EUROSC has a collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and Nicosia Tourism Board. It will lead WP6.

City of Brasov is situated in the center of România and remains a strong example of multiculturalism, with a recent yet powerful focus on the environment. It is one of the most visited cities in România, with attractions such as Poiana Brasov ski resort or Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castel) in its vicinity. With 1,9 million tourists in 2019, Brasov is accountable for over 15% of the national tourism.
